Pure Life® Natural Spring Water comes from carefully selected and protected springs, and is bottled right at the source.
No, Pure Life® in Canada is spring water in respect of local consumer preferences for natural bottled water. Pure Life® is purified water in most other countries.
Pure Life® can be found at all major grocery stores across Canada in a variety of bottle sizes and case formats, from 330 mL bottles which are perfect for kids and small enough to fit in lunch boxes, backpacks and purses, to 1.5 L bottles great for multi-serve occasions. Our water can also be found in many convenience and drug stores, sold as either single bottles suitable for on-the-go consumption, or smaller case packs to help keep the whole family hydrated!
Hydration is vital to your body’s well-being. Water is essential for life as it makes up approximately 60% of an adult body. Children’s water needs are proportionately higher because their bodies contain more water than the bodies of adults (75%) and so their surface-to-volume ratio is relatively higher. As a result, they can have greater water losses from the skin and can be more vulnerable to risk of dehydration.
On single-serve bottles, the expiry date can be found just below or above the label; it is etched lightly in white on the bottle. On the case pack the code is printed onto one side or the top of the case. The expiry date will be preceded by “BB/MA”, followed by the year, month and day of expiry (YYY MMM DD).
Yes. All our bottles can be recycled, and we encourage everyone to do so. Since 2005 we’ve reduced the plastic in our 0.5 L bottles by 40% (based on a weighted average). We’ve also reduced the size of our paper labels, which has saved nearly 10 million pounds of paper, or the equivalent of 30,000 trees. Our ambition is that not a single bottle ever ends up in a landfill and therefore we have designed a fully recyclable PET bottle.
The plastic used to make all of our bottles is either PET or recycled PET (rPET). All of our bottles from 330 mL to 1.5 L are made from non-recycled PET and are completely BPA-free.
Canada sells Pure Life® Natural Spring Water only, where fluoride is naturally occurring straight from the source. The amount is declared on the label. Be assured that Pure Life® Natural Spring Water has nothing added except low amounts of ozone (which dissipates shortly after production) to ensure the freshness of the water.
Ozone is used in our Pure Life® Natural Spring Water because it is a strong disinfectant that eliminates a wide variety of microbial problems, as well as taste and odor problems. Additionally, it does not cause residual off-tastes or odors.
Since 2005 we’ve reduced the plastic in our 0.5 L bottles by 40% (based on a weighted average). This includes having shorter caps than some other bottled beverages, making it difficult to open for some consumers. To open, we recommend avoiding squeezing the bottle too tightly. Because our bottles use less plastic, squeezing the bottle will force pressure build up making it more difficult to turn the cap, resulting in the water being forced up into the bottle neck once the cap is open, resulting in spills.
Pure Life single-serve products are bottled in containers made of Polyethylene Terephthalate (PET) that is approved for use as a food packaging material. Under certain conditions, food products can pick up slight taste or odor characteristics from the packaging material, or from the environment in which they have been stored. Since bottled water has no flavour characteristics like other food items, other flavours can be more easily recognized. An associated off taste or off odor, however, does not present a health or safety risk. Storage conditions are very important to maintaining the fresh, clean taste of our bottled water products. We recommend storing bottles in a clean, cool, odorless environment.
